EMERGE has a long-established reputation for delivering high-quality recycling and reuse services throughout Greater Manchester. With more than 20 years of experience, the award-winning social enterprise has been a pioneer in environmentally responsible waste management since 1996, combining sustainable practices with reliable service provision to support both its customers and the wider community.

To back this important work, The Skipasund Foundation has made a generous donation of industry-leading Personal Protective Equipment. Over 15,000 pairs of Skytec performance safety gloves were provided and will be used to help protect workers as they carry out their vital roles within EMERGE's waste management operations.

Ruth Downes from EMERGE said: "Our volunteers use a large number of gloves throughout the year, including use during corporate volunteering days. The charities we support also receive these gloves and greatly appreciate them, as the savings can be redirected to other essential services."

The Skipasund Foundation is proud to stand alongside EMERGE with sustainable solutions that benefit people, communities, and the planet.

Haraldur Agustsson, Founder of The Skipasund Foundation, added: "We are delighted to be able to contribute to the charity, and we recognise the essential work carried out by EMERGE staff. The Foundation is proud to make an essential donation to help ensure that those on the front line of environmental and social action are equipped to work safely and effectively."

In addition to its recycling and reuse services, EMERGE also operates FareShare Greater Manchester, the regional branch of the national charity FareShare. Through this work, EMERGE helps tackle food shortages while addressing the environmental impact of food waste, redistributing surplus, good-quality food to people who need it most and ensuring it is not unnecessarily wasted.
